    cardio questions............

maybe bit of a noob question but finally decided aswell as trying to get big is to do cardio to try get rid of my ever increasing stomach.
this maybe a worry about nothing but im unsure of when to put it in, i go the gym to lift weights abt 5 times a week and would like to do a run evry day if i could (lose the stomach and get fitter for football) so
do i run before my workout? (maybe will be tired for the workout)
run after workout (but will it matter im not having my post workout sups and shake untill at least an hour after lifting?)
or do cardio on days off from weights or in a seperate session each day from weights?
im just worried my cardio will affect me getting bigger (make me lose muscle mass). help greatly appreciated for maybe what is a silly question lol.

To start with, dont expect to gain LBM while loosing fat...

IMO its just not gonna happen for the average joe... If your a complete novice then maybe a little body recomposition is possible or if ur on lots of gear.... I know FG has done it in the past tho so im not saying its impossible...

    Put ur cardio PWO

You need to decide what it is you want to do... Gain weight or loose weight

This is mainly dependent on ur stats

It doesn't matter if u do cardio before or after some people like it before some dont

I'd say do it before so you have as much strength an energy as possible for your weights. You will definitely lean up a bit, but don't expect to get jacked by running every day.

sorry but you have been ill informed. Cardio (for fat burning purposes) is best performed when glycogen levels are low or depleted. When are glycogen levels low or depleted? Well, first thing in the morning (fasted cardio) or pwo. Lifting weights depletes stored glycogen because you are using this glycogen for energy expenditure when throwing around the iron so low intensity steady state cardio is performed pwo to shed off fat. Keep in mind I'm referring to LISS cardio and not HIIT. So in a nutshell try doing your cardio pwo for 20-30 minutes and you should start seeing better results as far as burning fat.

Low intensity steady state cardio (LISS). It is based of a percentage of your maximum heart rate (MHR). MHR = 220 - age. Take this number and multiply by .60 (60% and .70 (70%) and this is your range that you want to keep you heart rate in while performing LISS. An example of LISS is walking on the treadmill at an incline of 10 at 3.5-4.0 mph for 30 minutes. This normally has my heart rate around 130 bpm which is right in my target range.

I must be a bit older than you because mine is 115-133 bpm
