    Doubts about my training style

    Hello everyone.
I'll start saying im a hard gainer who clearly is aiming to gain lean muscle so please make your opinions based on that.

Usually when I train, I tend to stay in the range of 8-12 reps with the max amount of weight and intensity i can handle in that range with control and when reached 12 reps i would increase weight .
I would stretch and warm up before begining but the warmups would not count as a set for me example if im doign 4 set bench my warm up does not count as one of the sets, its just a warmup to avoid injury where i use like around 50% of my max weight range and if i get helped by someone i never ever count that rep helped as a accomplished one.
When I train since i do as muchweight i can controll in the range said my muscle are obiously more tired by the next set which mean i wont do as much reps, if i feel i can keep using that weight without going below 8 reps I would keep in it if not i would lower the weight usually by 5 lbs to keep up the intensity without ending up doing way to few reps.
This would be an example of my training style supposing im doing chest bench and have already stretched and warmed up:

    set1:250lb-8reps
    set2:245lb-10reps
    set3:245lb-8reps
    set4:240lb-11reps

As you can see their no specific order in the number of sets aslong it in the range 8-12 reps it's ok i think also when i foundm y slef doing 8 reps i deceased weight since if i kept with it i would go below the range.

I have been told many time that I must train in pyramid meaning that i shoud instead lifting as much weight i can handle in a sertain range to simply lift a slightly light weight that lets me handle to 12 reps no less than that or more, and go my way down increasing my weight and decreasing reps.
But I beleave that you wont be stressing as hard the muscles tilll you reach the last set and wont be lifting as hard since the past 3 stressed it enogh to weaken it some bit.

    Said this my question is:
    * is my training style wrong?
*wouldn't it be less tenssion for the muscle begining with light weight and not till the end doing it hard?wouldn't simply going hard in every set as long you dont neither do to many or too little reps be ideal wouldnt that be puting more tenssion on the muscle?
