should I take a week break after almost 3 months straight workingout?

I've read many times you should take evrey 8-12 weeks a 1 week break and vary the routine you got, how true is this how bad or how good can this affect my present and future msucle development?

What is your current routine like? That's the only way to determine whether or not need to take a week off or not.

well I beleave its just normal pyramid training style 4 times a week (monday tuesday thursday and friday). The only thing that is special about it is taht I do chest twice a week (btw helped me alot, worked just fine) which are on mondays and fridays, intense 6-12 reps and average time in gym 1hour 15min to 1hour 30min as max.
To be sincere i dont feeel any joint or any tired tho I actually feel more motivated now than in any moment of the year, no injury or so but if its relly a must to take this break after almost 3 months stright to keep me at optimums ill go for it.

if you feel like you have been stalling and are overtrained a week off wont necessarily hurt. or at the very least a deload week might be good.
