    Quad seperation?

At what point (in body fat percentages) would one be able to see striations in the quads. I'm 132 days out from my first contest and can see that cuts when flexed but just curious. Also, wondering what excercises, are best to create seperation and full sweep. My routines usually consist of front squats, walking barbell lunges, leg extensions, hack squats. Let me know what you think

Everyone carries their fat a bit differently. I can be 12% and still have striations in my legs yet I need to get under 8% before my arms start showing any real good definition. As far as what you can do to increase separation, diet is obviously #1 as getting the bodyfat off is clearly a must. If I had to pick one exercise it would be lunges but if it were me I would really focus on stretching the fascia in your quads between all of your sets of legs day. This can really aid in getting that deep muscle separation you are looking for.

^^^Great info, never thought about stretching to help matters. So you stretch your quads in between most sets when doing legs (quads and hams)?

not saying that it doesnt work but a lot of articles in magazines are saying that stretching temporarily weakens muscles.
