    streching bi's between sets?

    I read in a magazine that when u strech your biceps between your workout sets it helps them grow, is this true cuz my bi's are behind eveything else....

    You should stretch all muscle groups when lifting--stretches out the membrane that surrounds the muscle to allow it room to grow.

    Fascia is what its called I believe, the membrane that is

    I read something recently that stretching during resistance training decreases strength from... if I can remember correctly, decreasing the amount of fibers recruited. IMO - stretching a little before (with plenty of warm up sets) and longer after training works best - and doing a few flexes inbetween sets helps keep blood localized.

    Remember not to jerk your stretching - you should hold in the stretched position and then release...

    I don't stretch before every set, but before every new exercise I usually give a nice little stretch.

    i find that a good bicep stretch in between sets is crucial to getting the most out of arm days...what i will do is grab 50lb dbells and sit on the incline bench with my arms hanging down as low as they can go...i will sit like this in between sets for 25 seconds to really get a good stretch and help build those peaks...i find it really helps.

    i was fixing to type the exact same thing..except i use 60's..hehehe
