Whats the best excercise to build the back of the shoulder?

Whats the best excercise to build the back of the shoulder?

The front of my shoulders look good, nice shape, good size but the backside of my shoulders seem to lag quite a bit and are more flat

I don't know if its just genetics or if I'm leavin something out, I'm guessing the latter..

I may be way off base on this, but lately I've been trying to hit my rear delts as well. I've been doing bent over rows with an under hand grip and posturing myself a little higher and I can really feel it in the rear delts and upper back, more so than anything else I've tried so far.

I may have to try that

Rear flys seem to be the dominant excercise from what I've read... gotta get back on em with DB.. The f*ckers at the gym scrapped the machine I used to use (made for near perfect form)

For rear delts I like to do a lying side lateral... This is what I do.

Lying on your side on a flat bench use a dumbbell and raise the weight from the floor all the way up to the top and get a good contraction.

Keep the elbow and arm up high to keep the weight on the posterior deltoid and away from the lats..

This is defo worth trying out guys

Rear delt machine, bent over cable laterals, bent over dumbbell laterals, seated cable laterals (rear) these are what I use for rear delts and I do at least three excercises listed. Every delt workout I start with rear delt machine start at 115lbs and up to 235lbs.
