Does anyone incorporate yoga as part of there training? (Body building related training).
Good or bad?
Also looking into it to help recover from tendonitis?

I have done yoga at various times in my life. It is a perfect addition to weight training. In addition to stretching, yoga can work muscles in ways that normal weight training exercises don't. However, it may or may not be good to do right before or right after your weight training; it just depends on the yoga routine. For instance, only light stretching should be done before and right after weight lifting. The best time to practice yoga is at least a few hours before and/or after your workout. That way your muscles have some time to relax and your body has some time to re-balance before you start pulling those muscles in opposite directions.

Thanks mate
I actually perfer pilates imo. You get to improve range of motion/stabliity/ and core strength all in one. Its awesome to help balance your body out and correct any imbalances
Yoga is awesome, but it's boring as all hell. I play rugby and powerlift, so I have the flexibility of an oak tree due to the regular trauma my body goes through. A couple weeks of yoga increases flexibility dramatically, I just HATE doing it...it's worse than cardio!
Interesting, are you guys taking a class or doing a video?
yeah,i wouldn't want to be in a class either. Ill check it out on netflix, never thought about that
I've been to a few classes. It was alright. I enjoyed learning Bikram's Yoga by myself from the book Bikram's Beginning Yoga. The title is misleading because it is not for a beginner. It's pretty damn hardcore. Right now, I like to do the ten minute Yoga sequences Yoga for Flexibility and Balance, Stress Relief Yoga, and Energizing Yoga from the video 10 Minute Solution: Yoga for Beginners with Angie Stewart. They are easy and quick, yet very powerful.
