I don't twist them, but it's cool to do that if you don't want to go very heavy I guess.
I go heavy and still manage to rotate. But instead of rotating at the top you should begin to rotate half way through the lift. It helps me get a better squeeze.
I have to agree with Big Texan as far as the squeeze, I think that's the key. What every give you the best squeeze or stretch, is what you should do. I'd experiment a little.
