    Angry time spent training calves

I try to follow the rule of keeping my training sessions to an hour but I need to really bring up my calves. Do I include my time spent on my calves into that 1 HR time frame or not?

I wouldn't, only because I might feel like I have to rush through calves to meet that one hour time frame but if that's not a problem then go ahead or you could super set calves with something else.

I don't like putting a time limit on my workouts unless absolutely necessary. I hit calves twice a week. Once on leg day, and once on delt/arm day.

I'm already rushing through calves now. Thank you for the advice.

All of the above. I mix it up a lot. I just don't spend enough time on them.

I have found that jump rope on my cardio days or off days is a great calf work out.

I never exact time limits on my workouts. They just come out to around 45 minutes as i feel i hit what i need to in this period of time. If you want to focus on something more then more time can be spent but do not overtrain

Noles said pretty much how i feel. if you want to focus on a certain muscle group, that's fine. but i wouldn't take time from some other routine just to focus on the calves. Calves woiuld be in addition to your normal routine.

For many, calves are slow to respond... at least for me anyways. don't get impatient and overtrain. 2x week max!
