    Exclamation Confused about morning training

i take a bowl of oatmeal+Protein shake + Peanut butter 5:00am morning and go to gym 6:00 am but i found a research that says we shouldn't train in morning.
"Training in evening for better muscle growth" - they says
    can't post the link

Is this backed by research?? Because there is no difference! Purely personal preference!

Here is my 2cents.... the perfect time to work out is when you can fit it in your routine and schedule consistently. So the perfect time varies from person to person. I have worked out all different times through the years and the only difference I felt is how it fit in my schedule and how I prefer the time schedule. I can tell you that I like early mornings the best. I feel strongest and most focused. I have always been a morning person. I also know many people that can't even get moving in the morning.

Sure your body has more fuel in the afternoon, so that might get brought up. Once again everyone is different. I feel sluggish and slow in the afternoon when I am loaded up with food. Also, if you try and structure around the perfect time (if there ever was) it can put a lot of strain on you mentally to fit into your schedule and I guarantee that in itself will distract your goals and ability to accomplish them. So what good would forcing that into your schedule when you darn well it will never last.

In this sport/hobby of ours you will find that way too many people over think things and put opinions and spins out as facts. There is always good that can come from this, but there is also a lot of negative results and silly philosophies as well.

Get in the gym at a good time for you. Remain consistent and pound it out hard and supplement your food correctly. That's what's going to make the difference.

I like to train in the evening after work because I will have had 4 solid meals in which I know my glycogen levels are filled. These will lead to max performance during an intense weight lifting session. That being said, if early morning training was my only option then I would do exactly what you're doing as far as pre workout meal and timing.

It has been proven with Studies that you have higher testosterone levels in your system in the morning than you do at night and you seem to burn less muscle.

I do my morning cardio fasted, outside of a thermogenic and some pre workout........I see more gains quicker.....

To each their own, but I would have less strength and endurance if I was to train in a 12 hour fasted state. Not to mention, I would burn muscle fast. IMO, this is not optimal for muscle gains...shedding fat, maybe but I would be scared to lose muscle as well.

I agree about test levels being higher in the morn but I don't think this will significantly impact training. Morning cardio fasted, I agree...morning lifting fasted, nope not for me!

I agree with rockinred. Go when you can fit it into your schedule. I've been working 10-12 hrs a day for awhile and I can tell you that I DO NOT want to go to the gym after a 12 hr day. So I adjusted my schedule to go to the gym at 5:30 am before work. Now I feel as though my day starts off with something I do for ME. I feel more alert with less food on my stomach too. Only adjustment was get up a little earlier and more coffee.
