hips shifted, causing left leg to be 'shorter'
well, to start things off, i am pretty sure that my hips are shifted some causing my left leg to be 'shorter' than my right one. i can feel it when i walk and run. my left hamstring is always tight and tires out faster than my right one. i have had numerous injuries to the left leg (tore knee in mosh pit, tore up left ankle in a dirt bike accident). my achilles also gets real tight in my left calf area. my question is, what are some exercises/stretches to help fix this problem if any exist. any PT's out there?

The difference in lengths can generally be easily corrected for by a shoe insert this would be temp thing to see how it works for you. A good shoe store or an orthopedic specialist can often measure and create an appropriately sized insert for you. physical therapy may help, there maybe some nerve damage to that leg at some point causing your decreased muscle strength is there any differance in the muscle mass in your legs , I would try and sort out some physical therapy sessons , I had some work done on my left leg and it was smaller and shorter and physical therapy sorted it out just a thought mate

Good chiro can correct a hip out of adjustment affecting the difference. When I power lifted it would happen all the time.

A physical therapist will correct the issue then show you the exercises necessary to strengthen the surrounding muscles. This will keep your hip form rotating as often. This can lead to patella issues if not corrected as well as pain throughout the spine.
