    how do i deal withthis cramp??

    i was playing football...and my thigh cramped up like nobodies business..what ca i do??

    for instant relief basically keep stretching it and drinking fluids. Gatorade/powerade are also good. for recurrent aid try a potassium supplement b4 bedtime. V8 juice during the day. oh yeah and WATER LIKE THERES NO TOMMOROW!!!!!!!!!

    In the past, many coaches encouraged the use of taking salt tablets as they were believed to aid in the prevention of cramping. This however is now known to be false and the intake of salt actually increases the chance of you cramping instead of preventing it as it was believed in days past.

    I have also heard that if you have a low body fat, you tend to cramp easier, anyone ever heard of this one? Try streching before and after the muscle that gives you the problems, stretching works wonders.
