    Need some help on deadlifts.

The other day I had tried out deadlifts for the first time, and I wasn't sure if I was doing them right. During the exercise I didn't feel any soreness in my lower back, but as soon as I put the weight on the floor and stood up, I felt rough pain my lower back. Is this normal? Or is my form ****ed up and do I need to correct it so I don't get hurt?

start off with light weights untill you get your form right.
i like to do them on the smith machine, as you can only go up and down, the whole balancing act is taken out of the equation.
and its kinda hard to tell if your form is right/wrong without seeing it..... just ask someone that knows what their doing to check your form.

also you should feel a lil sore after you've done a set, thats how you know you've worked the muscle.

You should have tightness in your hamstrings the next-day and some in your lower back ... Just do mistake soreness for pain

focus on light weight try around 135 if that feels good. Then use the split grip, and try to almost drag the bar across your shuns on the way upand dont bend your back! hope this helps.
