2 completely different exercises man.. Bench is more of a mass builder.. The flys is more isolation to better shape the chest.. You should do both of them in your chest workout.. Bench shoot fir 6 to 10 reps depending on ur goals. And 8 to 15 for the flys
They're completely different exercises. There is no way to compare the two.
If you seriously need to choose just one exercise, choose the press because it's a much more compound and functional lift than the flies.
Wow, shows how little I know. Thanks for the info. I looked them both up on exercise and muscle database and they seemed so similar. That's why I asked here, for a knowledgeable answer.
