My forearm tendon seems to roll and pop over my bicep tendon when doing straight bar curls. It's only slightly painful, I wouldn't even call it pain. I'm just concerned. Could my technique be off?

Try a different curling routine and see what happens. I prefer seated one arm concentration curls.
I'll try that
The tendon doesn't act up when I do nautilus preacher curls. But I wanted to stick to simple work outs.
I don't have the popping but I do have discomfort when using a straight bar. I stay clear of straight bar curls for this reason...IMHO if it feels unatural your body may be trying to tell you something.
PS agree with Roman, I do a lot of dumbell curls.
I feel its (concentration dumbell curls) particularly effective to build the peak of the bicep, while a machine seems to build the muscle bed more
