So I wore my heart rate monitor for a couple of weeks while I did my heavy lifting workout. I noticed that I had repeated HR spikes above 85% with recovery taking place during the timed 60 second rest periods between sets.
It seems that this is basically HIIT, especially when HR exceeds 90% during periods of maximal effort.
Am I correct that I should be getting some pretty good cardio benefit from a 60 minute workout?
Just wondering as I have yet to get confirmation from any other source.
