What do you pay for your gym?
I'm looking for a new gym but I hate all the costs associated in starting with one. What do you guys pay monthly? Any deals in your area? I'm in southern California and the average that every gym wants around here seems to be around $40 a month and thats just for 1 club. Thoughts?

I'm looking for lift friendly gyms without the curl bros, old people that take up equipment, nor the summer dweebs that are there seasonally. Any tips around Ventura county?

Holy shit... Gym prices cost alot $$$ Seriously I just lift in my alleyway (kettlebells cost a bit, but damn they last forever.. I inherit most of them from family..).. Swim at the Olympic pool ($4 a visit).. running shoes $90 (lasts for 8 months).. Those gym things, the contracts and auto deduct from your bank account..just a bit to leery for me.. then the flesh eating diseases.. yup..

The gym I'm at is an old school gym. started out as a golds back in the early 80's and now is locally owned..It still has a lot of the original equipment and pics of professional bodybuilders, powerlifter, fighters, and locals that have passed through over the years. Its a pretty awesome place. Its what got me into bodybuilding.

Are there any in southern California? Or Ventura county for that matter? I hate getting veteran comps but that's actually too good to pass up.
