HIIT vs Jogging vs Fast walking?
Hey guys what's up. I enjoy cardio, I'm one of the rare people I know haha. Well I've always liked the jogging as my cardio source. Like for 30 min 3 times a week. What is your guys is take on cardio for preserving muscle mass? Also I enjoy doing it first thing in the morning. Should I be taking in a protein shake 15 minutes before that morning cardio or should I just keep it till after my weight training session?

really hard to say what you should do regarding that protein shake as don't know anythying else about your diet. Do you eat anything else prior to cardio in the morning?
I have a rule of thumb about protein shakes. the more spot on your diet is by eating whole foods, etc. the less you need a protein drink. But, if you have a busy/hectic lifestyle, a protein shake is a really good way to fill in the cracks.
if your goal is a fasted cardio, which has substantial benefits, then of course, skip the protein shake prior

Couldn't agree more with TR, inclined the treadmill and walk, IMO I don't think 3 days a week of jogging is going to lose muscle mass If your diet is up to snuff. Either one will be fine.

Yea i think you are g2g.. but no more then that, i feel more than that you would not be preserving your muscle.

Thanks guys!! My diet is very clean!! I will stick to the jogging and see what happens!

I do not eat anything before. And I would like to do fasted if that wouldnt waist muscle. I can live with cardio after workout, which is prolly what I'll do. Thanks guys!
