    do you do more volume when on cycle?

    Do any of you guys do more sets when on cycle, or do you just keep your training the same as off cycle?
    Some days I still feel I have the energy to do more, but I fear over training, so I just stick to my regime. This is my first cycle so I am interested in hearing your thoughts.

    must be an inside joke or something im not aware of.

    regardless, OP, do you know how difficult it is to over train? it's not as easy as you may think. you have to train hard every day and hit it hard for wks without a day off, especially on cycle! most people who think they are over training, are not.

    Instead of increasing your volume, it's probably better to take some time off during a cycle.

    Yes, I do a little more volume when on a cycle.

    I don't agree. In my experience, overtraining is a very real threat to BB's who train the same muscles too often. All the calories in the world won't prevent it. What's most important is sufficient rest between workouts. A good diet is crucial, but it doesn't make you immune to overtraining.

    Thanks for all of your opinions

    My workouts are pretty intense, I only rest for 1 minute max between sets.
    Im gonna give doing a few extra sets a go, see how it feels.

    I am totally with you on minimal rest btween sets, but not every workout. I change up the volume and rest periods eow now. I used to just hammer out set after set with sometimes 30 sec rest, but i was training for certain explosive movements. You can do just as much damage with less volume and heavier lifts, but its good to mix it up from time to time i think.

    what sets and reps are you doing now?
    i found slightly longer rests (90 sec) to be better to get another 2/3 reps per set and i added 2 sets per exercise into my general workout, but once a week id target 1 bodypart and work it as much as i could. i found this method to be more beneficial and enjoyable, as it was a break from the norm.

    I mix my reps up, from 15 to as low as 3 reps, heavy weight. Most of my sets I do til fail, I usually do between 3 to 5 sets per exercise.

    My cycle is going alright im starting to see some nice gains around my abs lats and shoulders

    Yeah I like to change things up, I change my exercises and rep range every 3 week's, try to shock my body and never let it get used to one thing. I like having short rests, I guess im a freak as I usually feel recovered after 30-40 seconds lol

    I've increased volume and intensity on cycle. Also cut 1 day off per week from 3 to 2.
    Hoping the AAS will help recover.
