    obliques and abs problem!!

    i am so fedup with my lovehandles,i have this huge lovehandles around my waist.i have lost about 30kg(66lbs) of fat till now and not able to lose more fat from the last 1years,i just keep on roaming around at 78kgs-83kgs.Now my trainer is like there is no use of hitting abs and doing side crunches with a dumbell because it will not help me to reduce my sides and belly. is it?? i do cardio 3times a week

    i am 6feet 23year old
    i follow good low calories diet and my bodyfat is about 13-14% but still my middle abdomen is 38inches and lower abdomen is 34inches now u can imagine i wear 32inch size jeans but lovehandles looks ugly in tshirt even though i am muscular from above!!


    PS: its like all fat is in that love handle area only.

    Even at sub 10% I have love handles. You just need to drop more fat!

    Yes it strengthens and stabilizes the core.

    ^^Agree to a point, but just don't push the weight thing too much with obliques. You don't need to make them bigger.

    Agreed! No amount of oblique exercises is going to make the love handles go! Just lower ur BF! I've been there man, still am in fact.

    I find "love handles" are the hardest part to lose fat from around mid section, I don't train obliques unless sub 7,
    Otherwise ur gonna grow the muscle and keep pushing the fat outwards. Give u that muffin top look.
    That's just my opinion.

    I think that a good deadlift routine will help with love handles. Low weight high fast paced (with proper form) reps will help burn some fat
