This is true. It's a common mistake people make that hitting a specific muscle will take care of specific area of fat. It will tone you up, but you'll more than likely still have fat on top of that muscle. Different guys deposit fat in different places (lower abs, love handles, chest, etc) the best way to get rid of it is through a good diet along with your workout routine, and don't forget cardio!Originally Posted by baseline_9
Im going to start doing 30 minutes of cardio a day even on my non lifting days and thankyou to everyone
you cannot lose site specific fat by doing isolation exercises. Fat is lost more or less equally through out the body. if you want to lose fat, cardio is a safe bet. you will lose overall fat
Ok today I had 3 small strip steaks with vegetables and a bowl of special k honey and oat cereal with low fat milk, off the top of my head ill say that 1200 calories with the 2 or 3 six ounce juice packs I had and that should be good enough unless I work out later in which case ill have a salad. Do you think I know how to keep a low fat diet or should I cut out the cereal?
start looking up macros, and ther is also a nutrient section on the form that people use to talk about dieting..you really should check it out..lots of great info..
you should perform your cardio first thing in the morning before you eat anything..go run around your block or walk or watever you do for 30 mins but if you will see greater responses if start on ur diet first... get your diet in check and continue doing research on dietiing, keeping track of your carbs, protein, and fats you will see an even better response.
just scroll the threads on the nutrition section and read diff people threads about ther diet..
This ^^
And post up your nutritional/diet questions in the appropriate forum along with what you ate today. Include the macros and this will help others provide the best advice based on your goals. If you could figure out your TDEE that would help too! (LBMx15=TDEE)
