    Less is more...while on cycle?

    24 years old 6'2 200 14% bf currently in the middle of a 60mg D-bol///750mg Test E/ .25mg armidex cycle.

Anyway, I am helping my friend prep for his first competition and his personal trainer said he was overtraining himself doing a 5/2 or a 6/1 split usually going Chest/legs/back/arms/shoulders and then picking one thing to work on the 6th day.

Now he wants him to only workout Monday/Wednesday/Friday....while this guy (very well known/expensive trainer) is definitely right, do you think I should try to sub in an extra workout or two somewhere in the week since I am on cycle?(My friends never used gear before)

I don't want to go into the specifics of the routine he wants him to do since I know my friend wouldn't like me giving it out but honestly I am just looking for some advice...even though I think I already know the answer. Essentially I would like to make the most of my cycle while not leaving my friend high and dry so to speak as far as workout partners go...

Also...just how hard can I go while on cycle? How many days can I train a week to get optimal mass/strength gains?

    Thanks.

It depends on the person, and most importantly how hard you train in those sessions.
If your friend is getting ready for a competition, I can't comment there, I have no experience with it.

Regarding you, I would continue with your split, if its working for you, just adjust them so you can still train with him.

Just train when you feel that the muscle group has COMPLETELY recovered.
