Question Left arm vs Right arm

Ok so like most people - my arms are different sizes. My left arm is bigger (fatter) and my right arm is stronger. So - for months ive done double reps on the left - and it doesnt seem to help. Any ideas on how to even them out?

If your right arm is stronger it probably has more muscle (normal for right handed people, im assuming ur right handed). You dont need to do double the reps. When you are doing seated dumbbell tricep presses overhead for example, or even cable press downs for tri's, or any exercise, eg bench, curls, preacher curls, etc,,, try to pull/push/press with ur weak arm leading.

Most commonly for tricep overhead dumbbell presses if ur right arm is stronger u tend to initiate the press up with ur right at first, then it evens out throughout the press. This is normal for the average gym goer. But instead, focus on the left first initiating, ideally ud do try to initiate both arms at the same time but u already have an imbalance so this is the next best thing. Basically push with ur weaker arm first. This goes for any exercise. Be it bench press, tricep overhead press, tricep cable extensions, preacher curls, etc

You wont be able to get as many reps as you would with the same weight but over time it will decrease the imbalance in muscle and strength.

hope that made sense. It will take time but if u stick with it, eventually they'll even out

I've made a note to use my opposing hand for most shit..cause I'm right handed and my right arm is a lot stronger, but my left pic is bigger, go figure. Its bugged me since I started lifting

Good thread. I've got to many disproportionate body parts, sucks.
