    lifiting/intensity question

So my asst at work had emergency hernia surgery rescently, which means for me i have been working double time for the last 4.5 wks. Needless to say i have been out of the gym for that long. First time misng more then 2 days for a couple years now.

So i am curious it really isnt a long time out, but how hard should i go tomorrow? finally got a work schedule thats reasonable enough to work in the gym 4-5 days a week until he comes back from surgery.

Should i take it easy the first week, or work back straight into my normal routine?

It also sucks cause i am planning starting my next cycle end of april....would or should this time off afftect this at all?

I am going to ease into it.

Any thoughts on if I should push the cycle back another month or two?

you;ll probably find that you've lost some strength.. so you'll have to lower the weights anyways...

Go very light the first week or so. Pretty much just light warm-up weight. Second week a little heavier but nowhere near failure. Third week I'd say you're good to go. Reacclimate yourself like TR said. It's tough to hold it back but better safe than sorry.

Thanks guys. Kelkel was thinking of this too. Kinda like ramping up back to normal. And def TR do not want to be in the rehab section at all. Starting a men's baseball league in a month too. So need to be good to go lol. Thanks guys.

Don’t sit limits on yourself before you even begin your work out. We have no idea how your body will respond to the time you have taken off. As far as strength goes, you’ll either be stronger, retain your strength or be weaker. You won’t know until you start lifting. Once you determine your strength level I would push yourself like you usually do.
