Hey guys,

Question. Currently I'm running a 4 day workout split (basically like a Wendler 5/3/1 butchered except I figured it out on my own then realized it's more or less the same as 5/3/1) where I do Deadlifts, Bench, Press and Squats all on separate days to cut for summer. Beforehand, I was doing a 3 day full body powerlifting program (more or less bastardized SS) while slow bulking.

My question is when I start running cycles, what are everyone's experiences on running specific programs or routines to "Maximize" the efficiency in gains when lifting. I'm curious on what every things as well as the reasoning behind it in terms of focusing on overall strength gain.

Is a compound 3x week powerlifting program like SS good?

Would a 4-5day split be better?

Increase volume? Increase intensity?

What do you guys think.
