    training my 13yr brother.

I need a little guidance in training a 13yr boy. We are preparing him for his first power lifting meet at the end of the year.right now just working on his form with the bar. I train Monday threw Thursday
    Monday-chest and triceps
    Tuesday- legs
    Wednesday- back and biceps
    Thursday chest and shoulders
    His stats are 5''2 120lbs.
Also right now just doing reps between 8-12 we are in off season right now. How does everything look so far? Just don't want to get him hurt.

From all the research I have read he is ready to start training. I’m glad you are staying in a higher rep range. This should allow him to avoid injury. I would concentrate on mechanics, form and ensuring that he is working the muscle that the exercise is intended to work. Make sure that he gets the mind body connection locked down.

Thanks for the response. Thank goodness I'm training him the correct way. Right now we are working on form.
