    Thickening the torso

What exercises do you incorporate in your training to add mass to your middle? I have a slender middle and I usually do weighted oblique and abdominal work to hit my torso.

This is a rare desire from most. Like doc said, any of the big full body lifts, and in general adding lean body mass will thicken your core. I find front squats especially nail my core, although I don't emphasize them as much as the other main lifts. I already have a 39" waist at 12% bf, but since I'm a powerlifter I don't mind my core is huge, well sort of mind but wouldn't trade any of the lean mass away anyways.

Forgot about front squats. Holding that torso vertical under a heavy load will absolutely thicken it up.

Awesome having another PL'er as well

Damn, 39" waist at 12% bf? You must be a beast!
