Thread: my leg workout twice a week !!

    my leg workout twice a week !!

    so im on cycle training 5/6 days a week about an hour per session and im smashing it, heres my session but wondering if im doing too much for legs ????
    monday:chest/bi's
    tuesday:back/tri's
    wednesday:legs (light)
    thursday:shoulders/bi's
    friday:back/tri's
    saterday:legs (heavy)

    so my first leg session i do 10 sets of 10 with 50kg on squats, try and smash it in under 20 minutes, some leg extensions etc etc legs are absoluly ****ed and can barelly move after this session altho im going rather light. second leg session is when i push the weight do 5 sets of 5 on leg press which i get up to 420kg for last set, 4 sets of 3 reps on squats and 4 sets leg extensions of about 5 reps with some calves in at the end. not doing too much no ????

    Yes your doing to much of everything IMHO, if you did your legs properly the first time around you wouldn't need to do them again, why have a light day for what reason? and your biceps are constantly being worked. Don't like your routine at all, are you building muscle with it? actual muscle and not water retention from your cycle?

    Are you doing full extensions on the leg press? I thought about a twice a week routine for legs but after tallking to several members it made more sense to just kill them once a week. They seem to be responding nicely.

    I have trained where i have one volume day and one heavy day( i think similar to texas method) i dont know how strong you are but 50kg sounds pretty light even for 10x10 i would go up in weight there, and i would toss leg press as a main on the second day and do squats again but heavy like 5 sets of 3 or something if training them twice a week is what you want to do.

    M legs
    T push
    W pull
    Thurs off
    Fri repeat

    ..I find by Friday I'm ready to hit legs heavy again..only do squats till I can't walk..legs blow the fuk up!
