    Whats your average calories burned?

Hey everyone I was just curious of how many calories your burning while doing your cardio in the gym on any given machine... I am cutting right now and am following my macros to the T. Just wondering if I could or should be producing more burned calories in the gym. I am doing six days of cardio, three HIT days and three in the gym on a elliptical which is elevated (think of it as a elliptical stair stepper) I average 400-500 calories burned in 45-60min after my workouts. Was wondering if this is good, great, or needs improvement? Thanks for the help.

I bike on the road instead of using indoor machines. Don't know why I like it so much but I do! Must be the fresh air? Anyway, according to several online biking calc's I burn anywhere from ~800 calories (for 15 miles @ 16 mph) to 1300 calories (25 miles @ 16.5 mph). My rides vary and sometimes I ride for distance at a moderate pace and other times I go for speed. I am so glad I found biking because I've tried the rest, including jogging/running, and just don't like to do them. lol. Biking I can stick with!

The only day I don't ride (or if I do it is only 8-10 miles or so at a very moderate pace ~13 mph) is leg day.

I get the love of biking, I use to race BMX. But that was a all out sprint and not a long distance thing. I really need to get a road bike and not use my bmx bike for those kinds of distances. A 45 tooth sprocket and 18 tooth freewheel isn't for distance!! lol Thanks for your input!

I got a WalMart special that I'd estimate weighs about three tons or so...lol. After we move next month I think I will actually spend a little green and get a real bike since I like doing it so much. Just worried that it will take some of the fun out of it. My current bike is a 21-speed and I spend 99% of my time in gears 19-20-21. Even when I do my sprints I start in 17th gear. lol. Good luck back at you!

I bought a single speed mountain bike which gives me the feel of BMX that I had when I was a kid. No suspension or nothing, just simple.

If you have a smart phone and like to get any form of cardio outside. Try an app called endomondo. It tracks your movement and form of activity and gives a pretty accurate guesstimate on calories burned. It tracks altitude, speed, and distance. It's free and pretty fun. I usually burn 500 - 1000 going by it. Depending on what I am doing and how much time I have. Some days I am just feeling it and I can go forever. Ran 10K like that, hated myself the next day though.
