Hey guys, I am constantly training for civil servant tests and one of the challenges is having to run a mile and a half in 11:58. I time after time keep developing shin splints from running, to the point where I had to cancel the last test I was preparing to take because they hurt so bad.
I'm looking for any advice on ways to prevent or alleviate the pain from shin splints. I'm sure it's a mixture of running itself, the style of shoes, and the surface you run on that causes shin splints but I can't seem to get rid of them. My next test is October 19th and they are already starting to bother me so I would appreciate any advice offered. Thanks!
