I wrap all my heavy lifts. Who cares if you're wrists fall behind in strength, unless you are an MMA fighter or American Ninja Warrior. I'm a recreational body builder, and I give no ****s about excessive wrist or grip strength. I do give ****s about injuring myself on a heavy lift and losing gym time though!

    PS - wrong forum

If you possibly have even the slightest of idea of remotely training for powerlifting, than no, don't use them.

I used them years ago because I didn't care about grip strength. Now I got bit by the powerlifting bug and have had to drop my deadlift poundages for my grip to catch up.

I have them and I use them every day. I don't use gloves anymore. You have the wrist support and if you care about your palms getting jacked up you can use the wrap part of them. The best thing about the versa is on back days. The wrap part comes in handy on most back movements because you can wrap them around the bar so extra grip to pull

I use them for everything except bench press, i prefer gloves for benching. They are great for pulling exercises, especially lat pull downs.

I gave up all wrist supports three years ago. Would rather build grip strength than ignore it.

Been thinking about picking me up a pair of versa grips as well. Let us know how they treat you.

VersaGripps are awesome, they won't weaken your wrists at all, they'll provide you with better grip and let you better contract and focus on the muscles your working out (ie. back). Most people don't use them for every single exercise, just use them for the ones you need grip support for. I use them primarily on back day, doing shrugs, deadlifts, etc...They're the most comfortable, durable and easiest to use straps I've used, definitely recommend them.

cool thanks for the recommendation...can I use these with non-wrist wrap gloves?

I think they're great for dead lifts, high rep lat pull downs or seated rows etc... I only want them to keep my forearms from getting worn out before I feel the pump in my back. I don't use them for anything else. I can build my grip in other ways, doesn't need to happen during back day.

I use non-wrist wrap gloves for most pushing exercises, chest and many db exercises and the versas for pulling and shrugs, deadlifts. I guess you could use gloves and versas but you'll have a lot of material in your palm and manipulating the flap might be a little challenging. I know a couple of guys at my gym use the versas for everything. I'm just old school and like my stinky old gloves.
