Remember to do a proper warm-up.

Are you planning on working out on fasted state? or after breakfast?

Are you forcing yourself to wake up to workout at the expense of sleep?

    Things I tell myself:

Don't drink too much coffee. It is a vascular constrictor (as most stimulants are), and while it helps bring out the beast in the gym, I feel like it interferes with growth and function of the circulatory/muscular system. I want my circulatory system dilated to the max, to get the nutrients where they need to go.

Don't overtrain in the A.M. unless you can catch a few Zs during the day. I keep a reserve when hitting the gym in the morning so I can tackle the day. I keep my morning routines under 2 hours.

Warm-up. This is my current goal at the moment. I've gotten into a routine of stretching for about 5 minutes, doing a light set--maybe just calisthenics--and then moving into bigger sets too soon. I haven't had any injuries, but sometimes I can tell that I didn't get the heart rate up enough to overcome previous weight/rep limits achieved the week before.
