    Curls

Which is more beneficial? Barbell curls or EZ bar curls?

That's different then. Stick with what doesn't hurt.

As to why. Think of it this way. Hold your arm (s) as if your holding a straight bar and flex it to a peak. Do the same with an EZ bar. You'll notice the EZ bar does not supinate the bicep near as much as the straight bar.

    Additional curl question....

I do single arm seated isolation curls and hammer curls than a long bar standing curl. Any recommendation for 2 more exercises to hit the biceps? I prefer to stay off cables and such and do not have a preacher stand.

X2. Supination of the wrist is one function of the bicep which gets distorted with EZ bar curls.

Beneficial in terms of what? Both are good.

I prefer EZ bar, less strain on my wrists.

If you want max supination just use dumb bells.

    Here are some others:
    -Curl up hammer down.
-21s (bottom come up half way only 7reps, then half way to shoulder 7reps, then full motion 7 reps).
-Static curls, curl one arm for x number of reps while the other arm remains mid position static hold then switch arms.
    -Standing full supination alternating curls.
    -Cross body curls
    -Reverse curls
-Curl with both arms slightly out to the side like a "W".
-Elbow inside of leg concentration curls
    -Slow motion curls
    -Etc etc......

A combination of many different movement's is the way to go but not all at once. Straight bb curls is a great movement and I do use them often but I do prefer using db's because its a better flow and I can really twist the wrist at the top to contract the bicep more.
