so im hitting legs twice a week, big sessions too (60 minutes)
example today was
4 sets back squat
4 sets front squat
4 sets leg press
4 sets walking lunges
4 sets leg extensions superset with 4 sets hamstring curls
one session i rep range from 10-20 and the other is more strength
i will always allow 2 days before i hit legs again is that enough ? also im using aas too

for over a year, I was on a 3:1 routine. exercise every major muscle group in three days, then one day off. So yes, legs 2x a week is beneficial.

Twice a week is fine. Obviously if you can train legs once a week and maximize development that would be awesome, but some of us do not have genetics in our favor when it comes to development of certain muscle groups.

Personally I would hit them once per week but hit them extremely hard and intense.

I do once a week, typically takes 4-5 days for the soreness to stop.

If I were to train legs twice a week, I'd only be able to do squats one of those days. I couldn't imagine squatting twice. My legs are just coming around the next time I'm supposed to work them.

I do one day of regular squats and then the second day I might do front squats or sumo deadlifts.

While bulking, I hit the legs twice a week, but I do different workouts.

200-400 reps of working sets on the legs in one day?
How about not doing hundreds of reps in one day and instead train your legs more frequently.
Have a look at real squat programs, this is a stupid amount of repetitions, unless you are injecting some good supplements to recover well...

Twice a week is fine but you need more rests in between the workouts two days is certainly not enough my legs stay sore for about four to five days so if your hitting them hard enough you shouldn't be able to hit them so close together I would recommend every four days. The workout is perfect but I would add another hamstring exersize like stiff legs dead lifts to bring them up even more. It's harder to get the big hams then the quads but the lunges help.

What i do is I split up quads and hamstrings/calves on diff days more or less with some overlap of exercises in the same week
First leg day = squats, leg press, leg extensions, leg curls, lunges
2nd leg day = stiff legged deadlifts barbell, lying hamstring curls, standing hamstring curls. Standing calf raises, donkey calf raises

Right now I do an eod routine, upper and lower split, start with a strength move but mostly it is high volume etc. So legs almost get hit twice a week. When I was running a low dose winstrol I was recovering really well and training more frequently, and never was sore and always progressing, I have slightly more volume now and it is murder. Keep hoping my body will catch up, have an extended time off this weekend. Each lower day I do the main lifts squat and deadlift, but accesories will change slightly, I kind of have one day more oriented towards posterior/hamstrings, and the other day is more squat or quad dominant in nature. Alternatively when I was doing more of a powerlifting routine I would have one day be a heavier day initially and the other either be reps or speed or form work.
I've grown to like high frequency training, although I have also had decent success training once a week for hypertrophy purposes.
