    Deadlifting with two barbells?

I'd like to try trap bar deadlifts, but my gym doesn't have a trap bar and the dumbbells aren't heavy enough and they're also too low to the ground. Using two barbells with at least 135 on each seems like a good alternative. Does anyone do this?

    Better off with regular deadlifts
Balancing them on the lift would be fun to watch hah

before I stopped doing deads altogether, I played around with dumbbell deads.

my problem is the arthritis in my back.

dumb deads require less bending at the lower back...
....thereby reducing the effectiveness of the compound movement.

give it a shot and tell us what you think

when I was younger (much) and worked out with concrete weights, I had to take a barbell and cut it in half (maybe it was thirds or a quarters) so I could stack enough weights to do one arm curls. Curling 80lbs one arm, with concrete weights, almost looks cartoonish.

I don't know how easy it would be to stabilize two barbells so that one can do deads?

I'm picturing the strength and talent it would take to balance two 6'/7' bars in each hand. I'm picturing utter disaster. If you try, please make a video( if this is actually a sincere post-not sure ).

It would work. The main problem is that the bars will want to roll out of your hands whereas with a trap bar the bar is fixed and will have less tendency to roll.
