Muscle imbalance in the lower back?

I m confused.. I sit alot and my right side of lower back is usually sore. I noticed When i do back extention or deadlifts, my lower back on the right side get really hard and sore. So does this mean my right lower back is strong or weak? And how to fix this? (Train the weak side through isolation?)

Visit a competent chiropractor would be my best advice. You may have an impingement causing this that is correctable.

Just make a mental note, or a physical one at your desk, to use correct posture. Even if this isn't the problem and you have an impingement, this is still good to practice.

Just train both sides equally and they should balance out.

Already started working on posture. But if 1 is stronger and i train them equally, isnt the 1 gonna stay stronger?

Look in the mirror and check to see if your left side of torso is pointing forward more then the right side.

    Does that make sense?

Sounds like some sort of muscle imbalance. Do you keep your wallet in that side pocket? Worn out chair? Shoes worn uneven? Sit with your legs crossed for long periods?

All good advice has been given. You'll just have to work through and find the problem. A good chiropractor can do wonders.
