Cardio before or after weights?
I've been on TRT for the last year at 100mg a week. I'm 5'8" and started at close to 230lbs at almost 30% BF. I'm 37 YO. I'm now down to 195lbs at about 20% BF. I lift and do cardio about 6 days a week, usually cardio 1st between 30 and 40 min., then weights. My immediate goal is to loose body fat so I can do my 1st blast of test cyp, but I have stalled at 195 lbs. do you think lifting before cardio would benefit me?

Changing things around is good. There is a lot of good things to help you in the nutrition section. Post how you eat each day and what ever kind of diet your following. The pros will chime in with good advice on how to get yourself to the next level. Exercise will only take you so far. The diet is where the magic happens. They will help you if you post, it helps to be brutally honest. That way they can give you what you need for info. Good luck !!

After IMO, i prefer to use as much energy as possible during my weight sessions, then do cardio on off days or after weights.

I do a little cardio sometimes just to warm up before working out but if it's for fat loss I do it after. You can also separate it if possible and do cardio say in the mornings when you get up such as walking/running and then work out later in the day for strength training.

Always do cardio after lifting and if possible separate them by an hour or more for optimal results. LISS and MISS cardio can negatively impact your strength and size goals if done too soon post lifting.

I'll take your advice and lifts weights before cardio and see how that works for me. When I have time I will do cardio in the morning and weights in the afternoon. I guess my diet also needs tweaking since I have lost the weight. We'll see how this goes!

Agree, after.
Use that stored glycogen for tearing those muscles.

Just an update...I've been lifting before cardio these past few days and I've finally begun to get sore again. I have tons of energy for weights. For a while, when I did cardio first, I thought I still had energy for weights but now that I lift first I really notice a difference. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Any upper body days I warmup with 1k rowing and cool down with 1k rowing and on leg days I warmup and cool down with 5mins cycling.
May not be classified as official cardio, but you want to maximise lifting in the gym so why not get warm and burn some cals in the process

In the past I have always done cardio after. But I recently read a study that was published that had indications that whatever you did last your body would respond more too. So if MPS was the goal you would be lifting after cardio, fat loss the goal you would be doing cardio after. Personally even with that info even if my goal was building muscle and strength I would still do cardio after simply because I wouldn't want anything wearing me out for heavy sets, but that's because I care about strength. So it will be according to your goals and what you care about exactly.
