Is my treadmill full of shit???

Is it normal that when i'm walking 4.0mph on the treadmill i am burning 10+ calories per minute, but when i'm at 3.9mph, i'm burning less than 7???

Can someone experiment on this for me on their own treadmill, or let me know if that's normal? I walked for about an hour at 3.9mph and i feel as though i might have to cut the calories it said i burned in half because i wanna call bullshit.. :/

They're just an estimate, the amount of calories burned per person is individual depending on a lot of different factors.

Is such a spike of over 25% logical for only increasing it by 0.1 of a mph? I know it varies, but the estimate goes up quite a bit...

It probably just has a set number of calories to say you're burning at 3mph then another set one at 4mph, it's just an average/estimate.

The programmer who did the settings on your treadmill at the factory was probably fat. And evil.
