    Training while sick

Its cold and flu season, and I was one of the unlucky ones. I have a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion. I have taken airborne three times a day and Theraflu as well. I'm still going to go and give everything on leg day today. Anyone have experience while training sick?

For me personally, depending how sick, I usually just take off a few days and recover. Now if I just have a stuffy nose or something, Ill train, if it is more serious I allow my body to recover then resume training. I have trained while sick in the past and it seemed to compromise both aspects, my recovery from illness as well as they quality of my training.

But you won't grow and you will just be spreading your germs around.

Make yourself a favour and take a few days off.

Same here. Listen to your body and be honest about if you're able to train or not. Sometimes it's better to give yourself a rest. You still got your whole life for training. What are 1-2 weeks off of training due to a cold...

Na, but thanks for your input. I haven't missed a day in the gym doing something, be it cardio or even stretching, in probably a straight year. I was asking for training advice while sick, not if I should take time off.
