    Routines

I've been on the same routine for 4 months. Routine was made for me by a personal trainer and I've seen some great results. I know your supposed to switch up routines to "shock" your body. Instead of switching I've just added in routines. I guess my question is how often should you switch routines and should I switch if I still get good results. Would the results be better by switching it up?

I switch mine every 4-6 weeks or as soon as I hit a Plato. You do not have to change it much. Just changing the rep ranges or switching up the lifts will usually do the trick

I switch mine every 4-6 weeks to even if its changing which exercise is done first etc. Plus it gives your routines a bit of a lift, excuse the pun lol

i switch it up every couple months, but its usually minor, I dont replace most exercises in my routine just a couple at a time, I never felt the need to switch up my entire workout.

I switch every 8-12 weeks. I may for 8-12 train like a PL, then train at maintenance for 6 weeks or so then train like a BB (Hit style or old school depending if I am cutting or training for hypertrophy). Good to change things up and even a month of light training to avoid injury. I would rather cycle my training this way and avoid injury and progress then train until an injury dictates to me.

I change reps, sets, exercises every 2-3 months not to get bored by same routine and progress.

I switch mine each 4-6 weeks to regardless of the fact that its changing which practice is boar to me.
