What's the deal with people with weird issues???

What's the deal with people with weird issues???

I mean like, whatever science says, too much squatting can lead to back and knee problems. Anecdotal evidence says so. So if you're doing a Bulgarian Weightlifting program and are having back and knee problems, perhaps you should do something different, like a more basic Madcow 5x5 program before tackling something as silly as Smolov or Bulgarian.

But then we got guys all over the internet saying, "I can't feel my biceps working with curls," or "My squat is 600 pounds but I can't deadlift over 300, even though I can row 400 pounds for 30 reps."

    WTF...

Are these people trolling??? Are they overthinking everything???

Being a trainer (whether for general fitness or sport-oriented purposes) is one of my dream jobs. But I would hate to be in a position where I have to deal with some really weird scenarios...

    What do you all think?

My deadlift is around 500 pounds for 6 reps but I cannot squat over 300 pounds too.
    Seriously - don't pay attention.

I can nearly bench as much as I squat.... It's subjective and everyone is different. In my situation it's because I've benched a lot more than squat.

I have always been weak in my bench press. My father was the exact same way. Squatting though has always been a different story. One of my training partners is the exact opposite of me in that aspect. I equate it back to being in the Marines in that I could not run very fast for very long, but I could throw on an 80 pound pack and hump it all day with no issue. People are built differently and you will always have strengths and weaknesses. I have determined that the important thing to remember is what your strengths and weaknesses are, and how to adapt to them.

Then again.... some people use a lot of excuses. I personally blame my recent weight gain on running a business and "not having time to workout like I should". I know I am just being a P**sy though. That said, I have started my diet and program again.

Nick, Riskaide, and Coma. All your issues are very normal. Lol.

I think its very normal to have an 800-pound deadlift with only a 350-pound OLYMPIC squat.

I'm talking about those who incline-press more than they flat-press, or can push-press more than they split jerk, or in the case of a weightlifter that I knew, can only deadlift 405 when his clean+jerk was a whopping 365!!

What about those who gain more strength doing an Arnold routine compared to the times when they were doing something like 5-3-1 or 5×5?

I will bet your dream job wont be so much of a dream but more of a night mare after a few months. lol

People are hard to deal with. it's always great until reality sets in and you discover just how stupid and bull headed most people are.

Just keep in mind everyone is different as stated and some of these people (most) who you may train will not go on to become a BB or athlete or really improve much if any but your job is really to just help make them feel better about themselves and even if they are not improving a lot physically if they are mentally it's all good.

I've always been much stronger up top as well(but early on I negleted my legs(no more) got my squat up to 400+ but my incline press is 305 for 4-6 lol) but sometimes I start w/incline and if I do I'll go to flat DB press(100s-115s)....

But If I do flat BB first I've been able to get 335 for 5-6... But I can not totally max out due to R shoulder(3 surgeries, and need a total joint replacement) I'm currently 192 at 5'10" bf is 10% or just under(don't base it off my Avi lol - look much different now... currently in the middle of a cycle so will update after!

Genetics plays a huge roll in all these lifts for sure!
