    martial arts

    Guys who do martial arts classes as cardio do u see any muscle loss ? or how do u avoid it?

    i did one session and i said omg its like 30 mins of running and 30mins of mix of movements and slow cardios

    so i guess i may lose a bit of muscle sine i dont have any supplement like bcaa or whey or things like that i am 220 protien a day on Real food

    so how can i avoid muscle loss?

    anyone here does martial arts and also a beast ? like 220 lbs

    You can't chase two rabbits........unless you have the genetics to support it, you will lose size if you plan on doing a ton of cardio/martial arts. I am living proof.

    You just need to eat enough to make up for it and you can still maintain/gain size.

    well , buster what if it is just 2 sessions a week and 1 hour each ?

    so when i will do like this :
    friday : off
    saturday :martial arts
    sunday : weight
    monday : weight
    Tuesday : weight
    wednesday : martial arts
    thursday : weight

    Twice a week is fine but if you start adding in extra days in you want to compete then you will end up losing some size. Say if you were doing 4 days two of which are sparring and additional roadwork for stamina. Twice a week for fun won't hurt you.

    how much above maintenence should i eat on martial arts days ?
    its 30 mins of runing and 20 minutes mix of workouts and kicks and fights etc

    That is hard to say. Maybe carb up a tad the day before the martial art workouts and that should be plenty, the next day those carbs would be available as fuel.

    If it's only 50 minutes of moderate/intense exercise you should only need 300-500 extra calories. Just play around with it and see how much it takes.
