    Odd prickling,needling, stinging skin sensation in core area during first set today?

    has anyone else ever experienced this?

    I get random ab 'pumps' (think water being pumped from a pipe) until I'm warm or when I just wake up. Not really anything painful like what you have, just discomfort. Had it past 5 years so I'm used to it.

    Do you mean needling like when you get pins and needles and it starts burning a bit?

    when I do crazy drop sets I get a kind of numb prickling feeling inside my muscles but It goes away quick after im done I guss its just the blood being pushed out during an intense exorcise

    It all was skin related, muscles seemed to be unaffected. Though it all seemed directly related to (for lack of a better word: ) "straining". For example, the first set was a light weight, very slow, 30 rep perfect form barbell curl, and by rep#20 my skin around my abs and back was burning and itching as if i had been sprayed with some irritant chemical or something. But i rested at the bottom of rep 25 for a few seconds and the irritation seemed to die down, but it came back gradually during the strain of the final 5 reps of that set.

    It went away after that set, but man, that was really uncomfortable.

    just coffee and b12 dissolving tablets about an 30-60 minutes prior.
