back in the gym after long layoff

I haven't cycled in probably 5yrs but I've stayed in decent shape. I want to run some cyp and I was just curious how low of a dosage I can go and still get gains? I am 49yrs old so not looking to get loped, just get some muscle density back (and morning wood!) I was thinking somewhere around one 200mg CC every 5 days.
    thoughts? experiences?
    thanks!

Don't run any gear yet get back in the gym and gain some of what you lost naturally using a solid workout routine and diet plan, muscle memory really works and probably the worse thing you can do at this stage is go on gear when you just got back in the gym

Well you look great for being off so long ,do you have any tips for working out your back and biceps mine are 26" and I still need some work on my back so do you have any ideas that I could use in my next set of workout schedule? I would love to know and love what I do. I am a lineman for the power company and I workout at 2am in the morning cause I work 2 jobs , kids in college so need it for my advantage in the gym. I workout very hard and even harder in the gym. You know what they say you can always learn from everyone so I am asking for your advice.

Get a good 6 months training under your belt before hitting a cycle. At our age it is especially important to build up the tendons and ligaments in order for them to handle the stress of a cycle. It'll come back much quicker than you think. Muscle memory is real so just ease back into it and you'll be back sooner than you think.

Thanks guys, I have been working out regularly, sorry didn't mean to make it sound like I was getting off the couch and walking right into a cycle. I know better than that. I've been hitting high reps and mod weight since Jan (yes I was one of those annoying NYears resolutioners). and my cardio is good, I just want the energy boost and sculpting a light cycle run would give me. I'm mostly curious if 200mg every 4-7 days would do anything or would I need to run it higher.
    thanks!

200mg/week is my normal TRT prescribed dose and you can do pretty well on it. My main issue is hematocrit and hemoglobin levels. I have to drain a pint of blood every few weeks to keep the levels down. E2 levels are ok at that dose for me.

I have gotten my doctor to prescribe me some test and not sure what kind it is yet , will be getting first injection next week. Yet hopefully it will be some great stuff my test showed up low and I am excited getting started, should I have any particular questions I need to ask her and about how much should I ask for? I have some other test yet I believe after I get this from the doc I will be tested every 2 weeks so question is can I take my other test when I get my first injection and then take my other test, yet if I am going to be tested the following week will that test show up? I meant to buy some test blocker but is there anything that will lower my test so as I will continue getting the shots?

Horrible idea and it will fail miserably. You'll only succeed in ruining your relationship with your doctor. If you legitimately need TRT then in and of itself TRT will make a huge difference in your progress. Be patient, it takes time to dial in. I strongly suggest not adding anything to your TRT for at least 6 months or so and after several sets of BW.

Ripped at your age you may be a candidate for TRT. I'd suggest getting BW done and evaluate it. Take a look in the HRT Forum in the Finding A Doc sticky thread and get the first set of BW there.
