Just get back in there and do what you know you gotta do. Haul your ass to the gym until you love it again.

begin slow, been there myself. Dont go full blast, start with some deadlifts on day #1 and thats all, day #3 do some light high volume dumbels, arms, pecs, chest, day #5 kill some legs, #6 give yourself good cardio, especially at the moment when you wanna do it the least, spend yourself on that hour of cardio, you'll thank yourself later, and then you should very well be going back on track,

    hope it helps

Just left the gym!forced my self to go. Started with simple pullups just to get my stuff moving. Then jumped into deadlift (heavyweight low rep and long breaks) I'm feeling much better! Let's hope I get up tomorrow motivated and ready to kill some chest! I will keep updating because putting these posts are helping me think about the gym! Motivation is the key to success and I will have it back!!!

Got up this morning not wanting to go to the gym but by the time I had my first big meal I was getting into it! Did a half hour warm up run and played with my two dogs watched two YouTube motivation videos well eating again. Then I hit the gym pretty good! Chest and triceps feeling good!

I think we all get dips in motivation, after a hard day at work i sometimes think ffs cant be assed to train but i think il just do a little at least that way its something. And i find i end up doing my full workout and enjoy it

Sometimes if i have a week off i will do a light session on every body part just to break the ice

I've gone so far as to work out on my lunch break because I knew the motivation wouldn't be there after work. "Improvise, adapt, Overcome...." - Clint Eastwood, "Heartbreak Ridge"

Take a few days off. Rest then get back in there. I think this is normal for everyone.

Well that's the thing. I usually take a week off when this happens.(Witch I did) then by the end of the week I can't wait to get back to it. This time around it hasn't been at all. But it's getting better. Today was pretty good but not yet back to 100 percent but getting better. I will post tomorrow my activity and motivation! I'm hoping for a great leg day to kick my a** in gear!

    I hate that rut.
Every day I kept saying "tomorrow for sure" Some things that helped: I changed the time I went. I always went late at night and so I decided to go in the day time. It helped.
I went just for 15 minutes just to get in the routine again.
I asked my room mate to go
I switched up my music in my mp3 player.
I got some C4 and drank it before I wanted to go. It gave me energy to where I HAD to be moving.

Thats what helped me. IDK about others.

Yea, I could go get a pre work out! I usually just have a coffee. I hope I don't want to chase after that great feeling after I run out though! It's been well over a year since I have taken a pre workout.

Much better today. Only thing is I didn't want to do legs.Dearing Squats I kept thinking about my shoulders. So, after Squats I went into my shoulder workout and I'm feeling great and also excited to lift tomorrow already! I think I'm back to being motivation! Just took a good shoulder work out to get me there!!!

Peaks and valleys my friend....maybe try cycling your training so that you can avoid ruts.....plan strength phase, a maintenance phase, a growth phase etc...... Ruts are part of it and it will phase. Maybe your body is telling you politely that you need to back off for a bit......listen to it!
