    DC and conditioning

    Hey guys
recently started DC training and so far I love it. I've been doing the low intensity cardio Dante recommends, but my question is do you guys think doing some light conditioning would hinder recovery too much? Nothing crazy but I was thinking some farmers walks, maybe some battle ropes and abs?

Go by how you feel and don't overdo it. HIT absolutely requires adequate recovery. Personally, I would reserve the conditioning for the cruising times when I wasn't lifting full bore HIT.
Just give it a go and if you feel your recovery or progress is suffering, then scale it back.

Thanks so much for the responses guys. I'll try it and see how it feels but I like the idea of using it more on cruising phases. Also-the hammer strength high row, would you guys consider this a width exercise or a thickness exercise? I'd think it would be more width but it's not exactly a vertical pull.

I've never used one, but just looking at pics, I would think width? However, keep in mind I've never used that machine. I lift in my shop.

Yeah I'm leaning more towards width than thickness because it definitely resembles more of a pulldown/pull-up movement than it does a horizontal row. It allows for a great stretch in the lats which I always feel more in pulldown/pull-up moves than I do standard rows
