WIDE GRIP PULL UPs,r Hammer curls helpful....

Was wondering ( after considering my various knowledges) if doing hammer curls would help pull-ups more so then regular bicep curls. Because how the arm is when doing a pull up similar to hammer curl more then a regular curl which.. Regular curl can aid a row of sorts but the hammer curl with its extra focus on the forearm and it's similar position in relation to arm when it's in the position when doing a pull up.........

Anyone have a thought on the association of these options

The only way hammer curls will help your pull up would be thru strengthening your forearm. You shouldn't feel a pull up in your bicep at all if you're doing it right. If you are body building training I would throw some lifting straps on for pull ups. Personally if I don't use them my forearms will give out way before my back which would stand in the way of lifting heavy weights or getting those extra few reps in.

I know how to do a wide grip palms facing away pull up and also the easier form of pull-ups with palms facing towards your face ..but I remember when I was training though I was creatively thinking of various ways to up intensity by super setting wide boy pull-ups with hammers. Goal to increase my pull up rep range any means necessary..
I mean yeah it's mainly the upper outer Lat but still you are in fact hanging with your arms so when it comes down to gritting out a few extra reps. And not doing a cross fit pull-up lol. I was examining what is what and when and how. Jus thinking that since hammers curls your palms are in similar position to that of a palms away grip pull up. U know what I mean

It's not like I'm puzzled by this. Just thinking. Thanks for the reply brotha

Hold a dumbell or plate with your legs to increase your weight. As you fatigue drop the weight and continue with body weight pull ups. Kinda like doing a drop set, literally. As you get stronger you'll be able to do more body weight pull up reps.

Right. I forgot about that. I was doing triple super sets. Body weight pull ups. Super set with Lat pull downs followed by another upper outer Lat workout. Thanks bud

I met an old timer with a cathader and a urine bag. Etc. he was about 65 years old I imagine but he would rep out like 50 pull-ups. Literally. Not sure if it was super wide marine pull-ups. Palms facing away. But he said sometimes he would do that. In prison we had net bags. And would fill them things for extra weight. And hang them from our wastes. But yeah he said that's how he got to do so many. I was 220 though first few months of working out and I was up to only like 12 wide grips. Thanks
