    Rest days/ time off

I'm curious how many rest days people take while on their cycle.

I had a few days that I was very lethargic and needed some rest. I feel guilty when I take days off. Has anybody ever taken as much as a week of while on their cycle?

To me that seems wasteful, but I'm curious if there's any benefit. I know when I train off cycle, if I take a week off and come back I'm very energized and get great pumps.

Say I start the week off with legs. I always take the day after legs As a full rest day for legs. Then I'll do one major muscle group on any day. But I make sure that if I do chest. I will do back and then shoulders before i do my arm day just because i don't want to workout my triceps per say in proximity to when I just did chest because tris are worked out a little bit on chest day. Even though I isolate my chest. I also do upper traps with shoulders because they are in the same area and worked out in behind the neck military's. Etc. mid and lower trap on back day. Etc etc so about two rest days a week. One day after legs and then I have a day off after I work out each other muscle group throughout the week. Tuesday and Sunday for example

Always have to rest. I never cycled before but it's one of the benifets that may come from a cycle is better recovery. But still I won't work out any muscle at least until it's not sore anymore. And I'm naturally sore for several days usually

On or off cycle I only do one body part every 7-10 days, so I have plenty of time off but I make it count when I am in the gym like you'd never believe ;0

Keep in mind that's when you grow and recover when your resting. If your training intense and hard enough 3-4 days per week of weight training is plenty.

Then you're not working hard while you're training. There is no way to hit every bodypart 3 or 4 days a week and have time to recover.

I work very hard and lift heavy , i don't fling light weights around . I use strong lifts . I modified it and added things like face pulls and rear delt work to prevent imbalances from pressing movements. The volume and intensity for MY body is perfect . I'm natural and still increasing in strength . Its superior over doing 1 body part a week. 5x5 3 times a week , with main lifts , squatting every time.

Also because i said "fullbody" it doesnt mean to do the same body part every single lifting session . You swap back and forth every week . Click image for larger version.
