    Shoulder hurts when working out

    Hello,

I have been working out for 5 years almost and just started my 2nd cycle.

After 4-5 weeks i feel pain in my right shoulder and doing chest/biceps. I can still do my max weight but it hurts.

Should I ignore this and just keep going? Its been like this for 4-5 days.

    Thank you

Like horn said, great time for blood work to see how things look inside. Other than that, whether on cycle or not if something hurts stop doing it before you injure it severely causing an uneccessary layoff. There are almost always ways to work around small injuries. Give it some rest.

    The muscle or the joint?

Are your shoulders stiff or very flexible? Do you do exercises for your rotator cuffs? Stretches? Technique when pressing (bench, military press etc.)?

^ ^^ this is what i was figuring. I just ran into same prob-started having horrible pain in my right (dominant) shoulder when i did press or flyes. I went a stretch of like 2 wks of workin arms, chest, etc, all in the front, and nothin in the back really. I have a pretty good chiro i see regularly, told me i better start workin rear delts and rotator cuff. Gave me some stretches and excercises for rotator cuff. Did them for about a wk, started to feel better, after about 2 more wks of doing them every time at the beginning of my workout, and adding in dedicated time to work my rear delts, no pain at all.

No you should definitely not just ignore pain. That’s when a small thing becomes a big thing.
Just scale down and do excersizes that don’t hurt, and warm up properly.
Also check that your E2 isn’t crashed. That will make it hurt regardless.
    But always take pain seriously.

It hurts. I just did kneeling one arm row and when i used right arm for holding my body weight it hurt in the deltoid.

I remember i had same problem 2 years back and then i didnt do this exercise it went away. Maybe its because i went up in weight so mucv on such short period. I will tone it down it 25kgs instead or rowing with 30kgs.

I do rotator cuffs and my arm is still flexible and not stiff.

Thats where mine was- wasnt joint pain but felt like it was right at the joint. Once i started doing alot of band and lightweight rotator cuff external rotation stuff, was all but gone in 2 wks. If you do normal work on rotator cuff and still pain, prob worth checkin in with doc, even get an mri, never hurts to play it safe- before that pain turns into a tear
