    Cardio Acceleration

    Anyone do cardio acceleration? Thoughts?

    I've seen that in his workouts before, but I've never done it. I would love to say it would wear me out and my working sets would suffer, so I can't do it... But he goes on to write that that's not actually true, your recover gets better (assuming your believe in the study he references).

    My other excuses:
    1) I work out in a small gym, and that would just be awkward.... Jumping up between sets and doing cardio.

    2) I don't rest 3-4 minutes between sets. I rest 90-120 seconds between big movements, and only 60 for smaller movements, leaving no time for cardio.

    Upon further review... I don't do it mainly because I'm a lazy weightlifter.

    I think you should try it and report back

    So... I asked my coach about cardio acceleration as a way to get in more cardio. He advised against it. It would detract from my workout.
    Yeah, Charlie, I don't rest that long either.

    That's nothing new. Planet fitness has been doing that in their 30minute express workout area for years. It's probably good for general fitness and weight loss. For bodybuilding where volume is key, I would think recovering as much as possible in that rest time is crucial
